According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Wolverhampton Wanderers are making a stand to keep hold of Ruben Neves.
It was reported last week that Jorge Mendes was planning on getting Neves over to Barcelona this month for as cheap of a fee as possible. The manner in which he was going to do so would involve a deal worth around €40 million, with some indicating that it could happen prior to the end of the January transfer window.
Alas, we can’t imagine many Wolves fans would stand for that, and it turns out that the club feels the same way.
They are ready to block the efforts of Mendes, making sure they can keep Neves at the club until at least the summer in the process.
Sure, by the time we get around to June there is every chance Neves will be looking elsewhere. For now, though, he’s ready to stick it out at Molineux.
