Wolves to sign Pepe?

According to reports in England, Wolverhampton Wanderers could wind up signing veteran defender Pepe. The former Real Madrid star had his contract with Besiktas terminated earlier in December courtesy of financial issues, but Wolves fans likely won’t care about that. What they will care about, however, is the fact that his agent is Jorge Mendes – who has been instrumental in Wolves’ rise up the Premier League since the start of the campaign.

The 35 year old Pepe has always been a controversial figure both on and off the pitch, and there’s no real way of getting around that. Alas, even with that fact in our mind, it still seems as if the majority of fans out there are able to appreciate and generally admire his body of work on the pitch as a defender.

He’s had his fair share of moments on the pitch too, of course, but he’d still be a welcome addition to the Molineux family for many.
