According to a recent report from Sacha Tavolieri, Wolves are unlikely to complete the signing of free agent Jason Denayer.
The 27-year-old, who recently left Lyon after four years with the French club, was believed to be someone that Bruno Lage was – and probably still is – very interested in bringing to Molineux.
Unfortunately, it seems as if the two parties have hit a roadblock when it comes to the wages of the Belgian sensation.
Denayer is looking for more than Wolves are willing to give him and considering the amount of spending they’ve done in the summer transfer window, that somewhat makes sense.
Wanderers haven’t been shy in going after free agents with Diego Costa also believed to be on their radar, to the point where there are suggestions he could sign as early as this week.
If they want Denayer, though, they may have to start upping their offer.
