Wolves want Liverpool striker Divock Origi on loan

Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in signing Divock Origi from Premier League rivals Liverpool in the January transfer window, according to The Daily Mail. It has been reported that the Wanderers would like to secure the services of the Belgium international striker but only on a loan deal.

The report has claimed that defending Premier League champions Liverpool are willing to sell Origi this month, but they want as much as £20 million as transfer fee for the 25-year-old striker. Wolves are in the market for a new striker following the head injury to Raul Jimenez, and it is unclear when the Mexico international will be able to return to action.

Origi has been on the books of Liverpool since 2014, but the 25-year-old is essentially a squad player at Anfield. The Belgian has played just eight minutes in the Premier League and 192 minutes in the Champions League for Jurgen Klopp’s side so far this campaign, according to WhoScored.
