Wolves want Marseille defender Duje Caleta-Car

Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in signing Duje Caleta-Car from Marseille in the summer transfer window, according to Sky Sports. It has been reported that Wolves are keen on bringing the Croatia international central defender to Molineux Stadium, but it is not going to be easy.

Caleta-Car wants to keep playing in a European competition if he is to leave Marseille this summer. Wolves will not play in the Europa League this season and are unlikely to challenge for the Champions League places in the Premier League this campaign.

Marseille are willing to sell Caleta-Car before the summer transfer window closes next week, but they want a transfer fee of £17 million for the 24-year-old. West Ham United are also interested in the former RB Salzburg defender, but they are close to signing Kurt Zouma from Chelsea.
