According to recent reports over in England, Wolverhampton Wanderers have entered the race to try and sign Maritimo’s Josip Vukovic. Vukovic has been linked with a series of clubs including Leicester City, Watford and Rangers, with his valuation being around £4 million. The tough midfielder, aged 26, would likely add a bit of steel to any of the mentioned clubs – with Nuno Espirito Santo wanting to look back in the direction of Portuguese football for some reinforcements.
Wolves have already had a fantastic season, although it’s interesting to note that they’d be battling Watford for the right to secure his signature. The two clubs are currently locked in a battle for 7th place in the Premier League, with the winner likely qualifying for the Europa League next season as a result.
Vukovic has been with Maritimo since last year when he joined from Olimpik Donetsk. The midfielder has never spent longer than three years at one club.
