World-class forward drops Fulham hint

Fulham are the latest side to have joined the race for Twente forward Bryan Ruiz, according to the player himself.

The highly rated Costa Rican was heavily linked with a move to Tottenham, after Harry Redknapp traveled to Enschede to watch the player feature against Benfica.

However, it appears that Fulham are now favourites to sign the £13 million striker.

“Fulham is a serious option for me,” Ruiz told Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf.

“That is also a Premier League side and it is a fantastic league.

“Fulham already contacted my agent. If Fulham does become serious, we will definitely talk.”

The player who turns 26 today says he wouldn’t mind staying at Twente.

“It makes no sense to worry, because I can’t do anything about it.

“Of course I want a step forward, but believe me I don’t have any problems for a longer stay at FC Twente. FC Twente is a fantastic club.”
