(GSM) – Manchester City winger Shaun Wright-Phillips will reportedly snub the advances of interested clubs and sign a new four-year deal at Eastlands.
It was said that Wright-Phillips could leave Manchester after contract negotiations stalled in the summer.
However, after making an impressive start to the Premier League season, City are now said to be prepared to offer him a four-year deal to keep him from moving to interested rival teams.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger and new Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson were both thought to be interested in securing Wright-Phillips’ service should he fail to agree a new deal at Eastlands.
But it has now been reported that City are ready to match Wright-Phillips’ demands of a £70,000-a-week deal and a four-year deal.
Wright-Phillips’ current contract expires in July 2012.
