Italy are through to the quarter finals of the Under-20 World Championships following a 3-1 win over Spain in the round of sixteen.
Spain suffered an early blow as Alberto Botia was sent off with a direct red card after only 28 minutes.
The Italians went ahead through Mattia Mustacchio in the 55th minute, and Andrea Mazzarani doubled the advantage six minutes later.
Aaron Niguez then got one back from the penalty spot in minute 66 but the Italians held on to their lead and even added an extra goal through Mustacchio with three minutes to play.
In the quarter final stage, the Italians face the winner of the match between Hungary and the Czech Republic.
