Xabi Alonso wants Real Madrid youngster Arda Guler at Bayer Leverkusen

Bayer Leverkusen head coach Xabi Alonso is keen on signing Arda Guler from Real Madrid in the January transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that Bayer are keen on reinforcing their squad for the second half of the season and have identified Guler as a potential target.

Guler is one of the best young players in Europe and can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger. The Turkey international has had injury problems during his time at Madrid so far and is not guaranteed a place in Los Blancos’ starting lineup. Arsenal are keen on Guler. Manchester City are also showing interest in the Madrid youngster.

The youngster has made five starts and seven substitute appearances in La Liga for Madrid so far this season. Guler has scored one goal and given one assist in those games. The Turkey international has also made one start and three substitute appearances in the UEFA Champions League for Madrid this campaign.
