Brazilian defender Xandao is set to complete his switch to Lazio, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Biancocelesti are on the market for a new centre-back and they were recently linked with the Desportivo Brasil stopper.
Il Corriere dello Sport now claims that the player’s agent Marcio Rivellino is on his way to Rome to negotiate a move to Olimpico.
The Italian newspaper believes that Traffic, a company that owns the player’s rights, would settle for a fee of €3 million.
The 24-year-old already holds an Italian passport, meaning he wouldn’t take up a non-EU place at Lazio.
The highly rated centre-back attracted a lot of attention with his showings during a loan spell at Sporting Lisbon and it appears he is now set to return to the biggest stage.
Xandao made a total of 68 league appearances for Sao Paulo before joining Sporting Lisbon last January.
