Xavi heading to Barcelona?

According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Xavi is one of the leading candidates in the race to become the new Barcelona manager.

Roberto Martinez, Andrea Pirlo and Antonio Conte are also in the mix with the expectation being that we’re incredibly close to Koeman being sacked at the Nou Camp.

Barcelona has been described as a club in the rebuilding phase for quite some time now but for whatever reason, the Koeman experiment just hasn’t worked out. The next step would be to see if someone else could steady the ship and considering Xavi’s reputation as a true legend with the club, this could be a move that’s quite popular with the fans.

Xavi may not have quite as much experience as some of the other big names mentioned but if he gets off to a good start they may really get behind him – for better or worse.
