Japanese media outlet Nikkan Sports has suggested that FC Tokyo have made a move to sign Spanish midfielder Xavi Hernandez from Barcelona.
It is no secret that the veteran footballer is looking to leave the Catalans in search of first team football and he has already received proposals from Qatar and United States.
Nikkan Sports claims that FC Tokyo are desperate to lure Xavi to Japan and have offered him a bumper deal worth €7 million per campaign.
The Spanish midfielder initially planned to leave Camp Nou at the end of the season, but he could be tempted by the latest proposal.
Xavi has spent his entire career up to date at Barcelona, making 481 La Liga appearances and scoring 57 goals in the process.
The Catalans will be in action tomorrow evening as they face Ajax away in the Champions League, and they are 4/11 favourites to claim maximum points.
