Liverpool are said to have agreed a deal for Stoke City winger Xherdan Shaqiri.
The Swiss international has been linked with a move to Anfield for several weeks now and Liverpool Echo now reports that the Reds have activated his £13.5 million release clause.
Shaqiri is set to become Jurgen Klopp’s third signing of the summer following the arrivals of Naby Keita and Fabinho.
Stoke City were relegated from the Premier League last season and Xherdan Shaqiri was targeted by clubs from across Europe. Still, as soon as Liverpool firmed up their interest he decided to remain in England and chose Reds.
Xherdan Shaqiri is now set to have his medicals at Mellwood and could become the new Liverpool player by the end of the week.
Liverpool are expected to make more signing this summer as Jurgen Klopp looks to expand his squad and make a more significant push for trophies next season.
