Porto star Yacine Brahimi has emerged as a transfer target for a host of Premier League clubs, according to the reports coming from Portuguese press.
O Jogo claims that the 28-year-old Algerian playmaker is being monitored by the likes of Newcastle United, West Ham and Everton who are all willing to exploit his current contract situation.
Brahimi has only six months left in his contract with the Portuguese powerhouse and is now able to open negotiations with interested parties over a free summer transfer.
The Algerian made 15 appearances for Porto across all competitions this season, scoring three goals and making a single assist. Perfectly able to fill in any position in the midfield, Brahimi is a player who could add an extra spark to the midfield of any of the three English sides tracking him.
Rafa Benitez is looking to upgrade his options in the midfield and add competition for places at St James’ Park although the money could be an issue for the financially troubled Magpies.
West Ham are looking to add a played who can replace Manuel Lanzini in the team while Everton boss Marco Silva is said to be a huge admirer of Brahimi’s talents already from his time working at Sporting Lisbon.
