Yannick Bolasie’s Middlesbrough move falls through

Everton winger Yannick Bolasie has expressed his disappointment on Twitter that he could not make a move to Middlesbrough on summer transfer deadline day. According to Sky Sports, Boro wanted to sign the DR Congo international winger on a loan deal.

However, that move has fallen through, with Bolasie now set to stay at Everton until January 2021 at least. The 31-year-old former Crystal Palace winger has admitted his disappointment, and has thanked Middlesbrough manager Neil Warnock for trying to take him to the Riverside Stadium.

Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti has already said that Bolasie is not part of his first-team plans. The winger will now have to work hard in training and play for the Under-23 side, and hope that he gets a new club when the transfer window opens again in January. The 31-year-old is still good enough to play in the Premier League.
