Yaya Sanogo set for Ligue 1 return

French media outlet L’Equipe is reporting that former Arsenal striker Yaya Sanogo could soon be returning to French Ligue 1.

The 24-year-old has been a free agent since he was released from his contract at the Emirates earlier this summer, and latest reports suggest he is on the verge of joining Toulouse.

The Ligue 1 side are interested in his services and they have presented their offer to the player’s agents.

If Sanogo accepts the proposal, the deal should be wrapped up by the end of the week, allowing the striker to join Pascal Dupraz’s squad for pre-season.

The striker left Arsenal without having made a single Premier League appearance during four years, while also failing to impress during loan spells with Crystal Palace, Ajax and Charlton.
