Yaya Toure linked with MLS switch

Yaya Toure could be offered the chance to finish his career in the MLS with Manchester City’s sister club New York City, according to the Daily Star.

The Ivory Coast has, not for the first time hinted that he is unhappy with life at the Etihad Stadium in recent weeks and looks likely to move on when his contract expires at the end of next season.

The thirty-two year old is currently in his sixth season with the Citizens, and has so far racked up two hundred and thirty-two appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring sixty-six goals.

He was part of the squad that won the Premier League title in both 2012 and 2014, while he also has winners’ medals in the FA Cup and League Cup, scoring in the finals on both in 2011 and 2014 respectively.

Manuel Pellegrini’s men beat Sevilla in the Champions League on Wednesday evening, and they can now be backed at 6/5 to win their group ahead of favourites Juventus.
