Yaya Toure to be offloaded in January
The Times newspaper has suggested that Manchester City are prepared to listen to offers for star player Yaya Toure.
The Citizens have suffered a major blow by losing at home to CSKA Moscow in midweek and they look set for an early exit from the Champions League.
And seeing as how Yaya Toure is the club’s highest-pair player, who hasn’t been playing to his potential this season, Manchester City may decide to cash in on the Ivorian in January.
It is no secret that the midfielder is currently unsettled at Etihad and he would probably welcome the opportunity to leave the club in the upcoming transfer window.
Paris Saint-Germain and few other top sides are closely monitoring the situation with a view of making their interest concrete in the coming months.
Following the shock defeat to CSKA Moscow, Manchester City are no less than 4/1 to qualify for the Champions League knockout stages.
Man Utd ponder Kurzawa swoop
Le 10 Sport is reporting that Manchester United are readying January bid for Monaco full-back Layvin Kurzawa.
The French newspaper has learned that the Red Devils are stepping up their interest in the talented defender with a view of luring him to Old Trafford in the New Year.
With summer signing Marcos Rojo used as a centre-back, Louis van Gaal plans to sign another left-sided defender and he appears hot on the trail of Kurzawa.
According to Le 10 Sport, the Premier League giants are ready to offer around €15 million for the youngster’s services.
Kurzawa, 22, has largely impressed since breaking into the first team set-up at Stade Louis II, and he even scored 5 league goals last season.
He has been linked with Bayern Munich and AS Roma in the past, but Manchester United appear to be leading the chase at the moment.
Juventus eyeing Luiz Adriano
Serie A champions Juventus are considering a bid for Shakhtar Donetsk striker Luiz Adriano, Il Corriere dello Sport can reveal.
With Sebastian Giovinco widely tipped to leave in January, the Bianconeri are in the market for a new centre forward and they are now being linked with the Brazilian footballer.
Juventus officials have been impressed with the player’s performances in the Champions League and seem prepared to step up their interest.
The 27-year-old will not come on the cheap though considering that it would take between €25m and €30m to prize him away from Shakhtar.
Luiz Adriano made the headlines by becoming the second footballer to score five goals in a Champions League match as he was on fire in the 7-0 triumph over BATE Borisov.
He has since received his first Brazil call-up and also bagged a hat-trick in the return match against the Belarus champions.
