“It’s not the end or retirement from the game because I believe I can still play on for another two or three years. Why not in the United States, or in the Gulf or in Asia? I will take the time to think and see what I decide next season.”
Those are the words of legendary midfielder Yaya Toure regarding his future after he quit Olympiacos. Yaya’s spell in Greece didn’t seem to go exactly to plan, but regardless of that, he still seems to be viewed as a commodity despite being in the latter stages of his career. As you can see during this recent interview with Canal+, he seems to be considering the possibility of making a big money move overseas – with Major League Soccer in the US being one of the frontrunners.
If he follows through on the move, he’d join Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Wayne Rooney in being one of the most notable names in the league.
