(GSM) – Algerian midfielder Hassan Yebda has admitted that he would jump at the chance to join Paris St Germain, describing a possible move as ‘extraordinary’.

The Algeria international is currently on African Nations Cup duty and while, being on loan at Portsmouth from Benfica, he is already looking for another club as he is unlikely to extend his stay at Fratton Park beyond this season.

The 25-year-old has made 14 appearances for Pompey in all competitions this term and even hinted that he would be open to making the transfer permanent in November.

However, it seems that the former Auxerre man has had his head turned by French giants PSG and Yebda revealed he would welcome a return to Ligue 1.

“I like their style of play,” he told France Football.

“Playing for PSG would be extraordinary. It’s the city of my heart and it’s the city where I come from.”
