Yedlin completes Newcastle switch

Newcastle United have completed the signing of DeAndre Yedlin from Tottenham Hotspur, according to the Mail Online.

The Championship promotion favourites have been working hard to add to their squad ahead of next week’s transfer deadline and have brought in the USA international on a five year deal for a fee of around £5m.

The deal comes immediately following the news that the North East side sold fellow full-back Daryl Janmaat to Watford.

Yedlin moved to Spurs from Seattle Sounders half way through the 2014/15 campaign but played for them just once while he spent last season on loan with Sunderland.

He racked up twenty-three appearances for the Black Cats and helped them secured their Premier League status.

Now he will be keen to help his new club achieve promotion back to the top flight at the first time of asking, with them priced at 2/1 to win the division.
