English media outlet The Evening Chronicle is reporting that Newcastle United winger Yoan Gouffran could be moving back to France at the end of the season.
It’s now been four years since the 30-year-old left Bordeaux to join the Magpies, and it appears that his spell in England is drawing to a close.
Gouffran will be out of contract at the end of the current campaign and reports from England suggest that Newcastle United are not interested in offering him a new deal.
The same source claims that Lille are looking to take advantage of the opportunity and sign the experienced footballer on a free transfer.
Les Dogues expect to appoint Marcelo Bielsa as their new head coach and the Argentine will certainly demand new signings.
During the four years at St James’ Park, Gouffran managed 15 goals and 12 assists in 115 league appearances for the club.
