Turkish giants Fenerbahce continue their search for a creative midfielder that will fill in the No 10 role in the team and, according to Turkish media outlet Hurriyet, Younes Belhanda has been identified as their main summer target.
Fenerbahce’s interest in Twente’s Hakim Ziyech has been cancelled by the high transfer fee Dutch club were looking to get for their man and Sari Kanaryalar have now set their sights on the 26-year-old Morocco international.
Belhanda is Dynamo Kyiv’s player who spent the second part of last season on loan at Bundesliga outfit Schalke, but German club decided not to pursue and option to make the deal permanent.
Fenerbahce have already made contact with the Ukrainean club and the talks are going quite favourably for the Turkish side.
Younes Belhanda has started his professional career with Montpellier before moving to Dynamo Kyiv in 2013 where he played 56 league matches and contributed 8 goals.
The 26-year-old French-born midfielder was loaned out to Schalke until the end of the season in January 2016.
He made 15 Bundesliga appearances and scored 2 goals for the German outfit.
