La Gazzetta dello Sport understands that AC Milan and Parma have resumed talks regarding a proposed swap between the two clubs.
Few weeks ago, the Rossoneri expressed their interest in signing centre-back Cristian Zaccardo and proposed that left-back Djamel Mesbah go in the other direction.
Parma were believed to be ready to accept the proposal, but the transfer talks were eventually broken off.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the negotiations have been resumed and the source claims the agreement is on the horizon.
The only problem at the moment is the fact that Cristian Zaccardo has been offered a two-and-a-half-year deal at San Siro, whereas he is requesting a longer contract.
The two parties are, nonetheless, expected to come to an agreement before the transfer window closes next Thursday.
While Djamel Mesbah has seen little playing time at San Siro this season, Cristian Zaccardo has been a key member of the side at Ennio Tardini.
