According to a report from Sky Sports News coming out of Crystal Palace’s training ground, Wilfried Zaha has not trained with the Eagles this morning as the summer transfer window edges closer and closer to shutting. The belief has always been that Everton and Arsenal are the frontrunners to sign the Ivory Coast international, but now, there are some question marks as to whether there’s even enough time to get a deal over the finish line.
It was reported yesterday that Zaha had officially handed in a transfer request, swinging the door wide open for the Toffees to come back in with another offer. However, even though they’ve been persistent up to this point, it still doesn’t feel like they’re offering enough for Palace to sign off on the switch.
It’s been a difficult process up to this point, and for now, it seems like Zaha is staying where he is.
