Egyptian forward Amr Zaki admits that he does not believe Wigan will meet the asking price set by Zamalek.
Zaki is on loan at the Laticks until the summer and have the option to make the move permanent at the end of the season.
“Wigan asked Zamalek to sign me permanently and they (Zamalek) are asking for too much according to the Wigan management,” Zaki is quoted as saying by Egyptianplayers.com.
“They (Wigan’s board) want to sign me for much less and this can be done by putting me on the bench, therefore giving me less playing time which will result in a reduction in my goals and so they can get me for cheap.
“While I am not happy with this treatment, I still want to stay at Wigan. If I will play from the start, I will score goals as I did before.
“But each time I get a few minutes per match, I don’t get enough time and this is the main reason beyond the lack of goals.”
