Zamparini: Balzaretti will be sold to PSG

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has confirmed that full-back Federico Balzaretti will be sold to Paris Saint-Germain next summer.

The Italy international was heavily linked with a move to Paris this summer, but Palermo decided to keep hold of their star player.

Nevertheless, Palermo president says the player is likely to join the Saints next summer.

“Federico has asked me to sell him to PSG,” Maurizio Zamparini told RMC. “I intend to meet his request.

“PSG director Leonardo had asked for him, but I told him that the player would remain with us until the end of the season.

“In the meantime, we are already looking for his replacement.”
