Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has revealed Manchester City tried to make an offer for Javier Pastore on deadline day.
Manchester City are just one of the teams linked with a move for the Argentine playmaker, while others include Barcelona, Chelsea and Real Madrid, to name just a few.
“A director at Manchester City called me yesterday,” Zamparini told journalists this afternoon.
“I don’t speak English, so asked him to send me a fax… I never received anything, so maybe he just wanted to ask me something…
“Anyway, if he had made an offer for Pastore, I would’ve said he was not for sale. Yet having said that, nothing is truly unattainable in this world.
“If a sheikh wants to do something crazy, then he can come and make me a crazy offer.”
