Inter Milan's Argentinian captain Javier Zanetti said on Saturday that he has been impressed with new boss Jose Mourinho's training methods since the Portuguese arrived at the San Siro.
Mourinho was famous for his strict discipline and meticulous preparation during training sessions at Chelsea, where he spent a little over three years.
And it seems as if nothing has changed with the former Porto coach's methods, as 34-year-old Zanetti can testify.
“He talks a lot with everyone, the work we're doing is really rewarding even if we can and we want to improve,” said Zanetti.
“We're really happy about the type of work he's introduced and we hope it will deliver the results everyone's hoping for.”
But while Mourinho brings his own work ethic and methods to proceedings, Zanetti is hoping that Inter can maintain their recent Serie A domination – they have won the last three titles.
“We hope to have a lot of continuity especially in the championship, which is very long and it will be vital to have that from the off.
“As for our rivals, all the matches will be difficult. There's no easy matches in the Italian league.
“We start with a tough away trip (to Sampdoria) but we'll be in good shape when we get there.”
Inter have possibly the toughest start to the season of the title contenders, with trips to AC Milan and AS Roma on weeks five and seven respectively.
