Javier Zanetti said Inter Milan are desperate to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
The San Siro outfit sit sixth in the Serie A table, trailing third-placed Lazio by three points, and the Argentine has stressed that Andrea Stramaccioni’s men are focused on their own results.
“We’re working hard to make that third Champions League berth ours; we want it and we believe we can get it. There are four games to go and we’ll keep trying until the end,” Zanetti told the official Inter website.
“The Milan derby? We have two other games coming up first and we’ll be up there battling it out for third place.
“Who would I rather see win the Scudetto, Juventus or AC Milan? I don’t know, we’re focused on securing Champions League football and on building a great squad for next year; we’re not thinking about the others.”
Inter are preparing for their home clash against Cesena on Sunday.
