Lazio ace Mauro Zarate insists he is not interested in a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid this season.
The Argentinean striker has been a hit for Lazio this season and has been linked with several top clubs including Real Madrid.
“This is my year,” Zarate told French Magazine So Foot.
“It’s obvious that a club like Real Madrid is every player’s dream but for now I am in Rome and I don’t want to disappoint the Lazio fans.
“I am doing really well and so is the team. We are not to far off the Champions League places.”
“Serie A is very similar to the Argentinean league,” added Zarate.
“It’s identical in terms of tactics and I have adapted well here. I wasn’t easy at first but I have plenty of faith and I was convinced I could do well.”
