Zenit Saint Petersburg host Benfica at the Petrovsky Stadium tonight in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 clash, and are favourites to come out on top given their form on home soil. Benfica earned a slim victory in the first leg, but could struggle to contain their Russian opponents in their own backyard.

The hosts won five of their six group games to make it this far, beating the likes of Valencia and Lyon, and they’ll certainly fancy their chances of dispatching of Benfica too. The visitors were inconsistent in their last few group games, dropping points in three of their previous four, but they have shone in their domestic league.

Benfica are coming off the back of five wins from six in the Portuguese Primeira Liga, but European competition has proven a little harder. And playing at the Petrovsky Stadium is sure to make things even more difficult to get a result given Zenit have a 100% home record in the Champions League this season.

Zenit also have picked up 11 points from 15 in their own backyard in the league, and Ladbrokes are giving odds of 1/1 for the Russian outfit to dispatch of their Portuguese visitors.
