Brazilian forward Hulk could be on the verge of singing for Russian side Zenit St Petersburg in the final days of this summer’s transfer window, that’s according to ESPN.
The Porto man has been linked with a move away from the Portuguese club for a while now and it seems as though Zenit are preparing a €50m offer, something that Porto will be unable to turn down.
The Brazil international had also been a target for English Premier League side Chelsea, but they are set to lose out on the 26-year-old.
The Russian Champions will certainly show a massive amount of intent should they secure Hulk’s services, not only domestically but they could make a challenge to reach the latter stages of the Champions League.
However, the ball seems to lie in the striker’s court as he is reportedly happy at Porto and may not be keen on a move to Zenit.
He will of course have to make a decision quickly and it may depend on the kind of contract he is offered by Zenit.
It is certainly a story to keep an eye on and it could prove to be one of the biggest deals of the transfer window.
