Russian newspaper Izvestia has revealed that Zenit are lining up a move for Ukraine international Yevhen Konoplyanka.

According to the same source, the Russian club are willing to offer around €20 million for the talented midfielder, who would be earning €3.5 million per campaign.

Zenit are, therefore, prepared to triple the player’s current salary in an attempt to lure him to Stadion Petrovskij.

Konoplyanka, 23, is also on the radar of several top European clubs, with Arsenal rumoured to be keeping close tabs on the Ukraine international.

The talented footballer has spent his entire career up to date at Dnipro, and he is widely regarded as the best midfielder in Ukraine.

Konoplyanka largely impressed with his displays at the 2012 Euro, and has remained a first team regular in the national side.

However, it appears the player will not be able to resist a lure from top European clubs for much longer, and everything suggests he will be leaving Dnipro in the summer.
