Russian Premier League champions Zenit have reignited their interest in Juventus winger Simone Pepe, according to Tuttosport.
The Russian giants attempted to sign the winger last summer, but Antonio Conte stepped in at the last minute to prevent the player from leaving Turin.
Tuttosport now reports that Zenit have returned for the Italian international and that they are determined to get the deal done this time.
The 28-year-old was considered a first team regular last season, but his place in the starting line-up is in danger following the heavy summer recruitment.
Juventus have already signed Mauricio Isla, Kwadwo Asamoah, Sebastian Giovinco and Nicola Leali, while buying Martin Caceres and Emanuele Giaccherini outright.
They are now looking to balance the books by offloading a couple of players and they might be willing to consider offers for Pepe.
The experienced forward has had mixed success last season, and he scored just 6 goals in 31 Serie A games.
