Sport Mediaset is reporting that Zenit St Petersburg are weighing up January move for Valencia striker Alvaro Negredo.
The Russian giants aim to sign a back-up to first choice centre forward Artem Dzyuba in the January window and the Spanish forward is one of the players they are looking at.
Negredo has found himself out of the starting line-up after clashing with coach Nuno Espirito Santo and there is a chance he will be made available for sale in the winter.
And with the former Spain international not playing of late, Valencia will have a tough time trying to recoup the €30 million invested in the striker this summer.
Alvaro Negredo was last part of the match squad almost a month ago and it would appear as though his short spell at Mestalla is drawing to a close.
Meanwhile, los Che face an important match against Gent on Wednesday evening, where they are 11/10 to emerge victorious.
