Zenit St Petersburg are interested in signing Palermo midfielder Josip Ilicic, Izvestia has revealed.
The Russian giants look set to miss out on yet another league title and they are looking to shake up their midfield options in the summer.
The likes of Sergei Semak and Konstantin Zyryanov are nearing the final stage of their careers, and Zenit officials plan to add some fresh blood to the centre of the park.
Russian daily Izvestia has suggested that Zenit are pondering a move for Palermo star Josip Ilicic, who looks set to leave the Rosanero at the end of the season.
Ilicic, 25, will be sold in the summer after the club failed to avoid relegation to Serie B, but the Russians could face a stiff competition from AS Roma.
The Slovenia international has been in scintillating form this season, managing 10 goals in 31 Serie A fixtures.
