Russian newspaper Izvestia understands that Zenit are readying a big money bid for Dinamo Moscow forward Aleksandr Kokorin.
Boss Luciano Spalletti has been impressed by the talented footballer and he will do everything in his power to try and lure him to Stadion Petrovski.
Izvestia has learned that Zenit are ready to bid around €20 million for the 22-year-old striker.
Aleksandr Kokorin came through the youth ranks at Dinamo Moscow, and developed into a key player for both club and country in a relatively short time interval.
He completed a big money move to Anzhi in July, but only to return to his boyhood club in August without even making a single appearance for the side from Makhachkala.
Kokorin has been in scintillating form ever since he returned to Dinamo, scoring 5 goals in 10 league matches. The youngster has also netted 4 times in 8 2014 World Cup matches for Russia.
