Russian newspaper Izvestia claims Zenit are preparing an offer for Real Madrid youngster Denis Cheryshev.
The talented youngster has caught the attention of Zenit boss Luciano Spalletti, with the Italian eager to lure the player to St Petersburg.
According to the same source, Spalletti has already scheduled a meeting with the player’s father and former Russia international Dmitri Cheryshev.
The 21-year-old winger is currently playing for Real Madrid B side Castilla and has already scored 4 goals in 10 league games this season.
Cheryshev, who has yet to make a senior appearance for los Blancos, has just received his first call-up by Russia boss Fabio Capello.
The player, who arrived to Santiago Bernabeu from Burgos, has scored a total of 15 goals in 74 league appearances for Real Madrid Castilla.
