(GSM) – Zenit St. Petersburg remain near the top of the Russian league following a 1-2 win at Dinamo Moscow on Saturday.
The former UEFA Cup champions went ahead through Danny after 12 minutes in the Russian capital city, and Vladimir Bystrov made it 0-2 in the 34th.
Dmitri Kombarov pulled one back from the penalty spot six minutes after the hour but Zenit held on to their lead to secure the three points.
With seven points, Zenit have the same amount of points as Spartak Nalchik but the latter have a better goal record and as such occupy the top spot.
Nalchik played away to Sibir Novosibirsk earlier on Saturday with Vladimir Dyadyun finding the target in the 18th and 53rd minute for a 0-2 win.
