Zenit St. Petersburg win Russian Cup

(GSM) – Zenit St. Petersburg have won the Russian Cup thanks to a 1-0 win over Sibir Novosibirsk in the final.

The first half of the Cup final went by without goals but Zenit took the lead on the hour mark as Roman Shirokov converted a penalty.

It is the second time that Zenit win the Cup, after having done so before in 1999.

To reach the final, Zenit defeated Torpedo Vladimir, Nizhny Novgorod, Volga Tver and Amkar Perm respectively.
