While Hulk failed to impress with Brazil in the World Cup this summer, he’s still attracted interest elsewhere, with French Ligue One title-chasers AS Monaco keen to procure his signature.

The 27-year-old didn’t score a goal in this summer’s tournament, but he bagged an impressive 17 in 24 games last season for Zenit Saint Petersburg, making six assists. Hulk created 45 chances, made 76 successful dribbles, and made 143 crosses.

888 Sport are giving odds of 2/1 for the Brazilian winger to join AS Monaco, with the French club having a penchant for formerly Portuguese based players, highlighted with their recruitment of Ricardo Carvalho, James Rodriguez and Joao Moutinho.

Hulk possesses the ability to beat his man with pace, while having the strength to hold off defenders when he’s bearing down on goal, but getting him to produce his best on a regular basis has always been the challenge. He’ll be on big wages in the Russian Premier League, but AS Monaco certainly aren’t strapped for cash.
