Russian daily newspaper Izvestia has learned that Zenit star Danny could be moving to Chinese Super League at the end of the season.

It is believed that Shandong Luneng and Guangzhou Evergrande are both interested in signing the 32-year-old footballer and they are ready to match both the club’s asking price as well as the midfielder’s wage demands.

However, with Zenit hoping to reach the final stages of the Champions League, they are not ready to cash in on their prized asset midway through the season.

At the same time, Danny also wants to prove his worth at the biggest stage, but a summer move to China is a realistic possibility.

The Portugal international was widely expected to leave the club last summer, but he eventually decided to pen a new two-year deal, although everything suggests that he will look for a new challenge when the current campaign comes to an end.
