With all eyes from across Europe once again on the Belarusian Premier League this weekend, Zhodino will look to make it three wins on the bounce when they make the trip to a struggling Dinamo Minsk on Friday evening.

Starting with the hosts, after enduring a woeful run of form during pre-season and landing just a sole friendly victory in their eight attempts, Dinamo Minsk have dragged their problems into the start of the 2020 campaign. Despite trying to mount a dramatic comeback against local rivals Minsk last weekend, the Whites could only slump to a 3-2 defeat on the road and have opened the new season with back-to-back defeats. Despite hoping to secure a European return this year, Head Coach Sergei Gurenko finds his side in the midst of a five-match losing run across all competitions and have also continued to put in some worrying displays on home soil. Losing each of their last three consecutive matches in front of their own supporters, it should also be noted that Friday’s hosts have lost three of their last four Premier League appearances at the Stadyen Traktar.

As for the visitors, while the mood in Minsk’s camp might be at a low, Zhodino have opened the new campaign in some style. Opening the 2020 season with an eye-catching 1-0 win against Europa League qualifiers Shakhtyor on the road last month, Yuri Puntus’s men also picked up three points against top-flight returners Belshina seven days ago. Looking to make it three wins on the bounce and briefly claim top spot in the Premier League, there is no doubt that Friday’s guests will also be excited by their stellar record against Dinamo Minsk. Including a 3-0 romp the last time they made the trip to the Stadyen Traktar, Zhodino also landed a 4-0 win when the two sides last faced off back in November. Given the recent gulf in class between the two sides and the guests’ stellar record against Sergei Gurenko’s side, we’re backing an away draw no bet for Friday evening.
