Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has moved to confirm that talented forward Jese Rodriguez will join Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
New Saints coach Unai Emery recently admitted his interest in the Spanish striker and L’Equipe now claims a €25 million deal has been agreed.
Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has confessed that the deal is on the horizon, although he appears to prefer a season-long loan.
“It’s still not finished, but it’s on the way,” Zidane said at press conference. “Is PSG an ideal fit for him? I think so. He’s going to score a lot of goals there.
“I hope it goes well for him there, but Madrid will always be his home. He has been here his whole life. Maybe it is just for one year, then he returns home.”
There is a chance that Jese will move on a permanent deal, but with Real Madrid including a buy-back clause that recently allowed them to re-sign Alvaro Morata.
Jese Rodriguez is expected to act as back-up to Edinson Cavani at Parc des Princes, although he is capable of operating on either wing as well.
The 23-year-old has so far scored 13 goals in mere 14 league starts for Real Madrid and he is predicted a bright future in the game.
