Much has been said about the changes in the transfer plans of Real Madrid since they reappointed Zinedine Zidane as head coach, and one of those changes seems to relate to the club’s reported interest in Paris Saint-Germain’s Neymar.
Reports went as far as to suggest Real were preparing a whopping €350 million offer for the Brazilian, but now AS claim that particular planned has been abandoned.
Los Blancos have had a rarely seen poor season. They have lost all realistic chance of winning the La Liga title and have been knocked out of all other competitions, and that resulted in the second managerial sacking of the campaign as Santiago Solari followed Julen Lopetegui through the exit door.
Zidane, who had left the position having won his third consecutive Champions League trophy with the club last summer, has now been brought back to steady the ship and start a new project, in which, it seems, the world’s most expensive player won’t be taking part.
