According to a recent report from France Football, Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane put Paul Pogba’s potential arrival ahead of Eden Hazard’s during the summer transfer window. As we all know Hazard wound up completing his move from Chelsea whereas Pogba is still on the books with Manchester United, but as it turns out, Zidane was more interested in getting Pogba over the finish line than the Belgian.
Real Madrid were unwilling to stump up the required cash necessary to get a deal over the finish line, though, with United demanding a minimum of £150 million as the asking price.
The talks surrounding Hazard seemed to begin from the moment that last season came to an end, which is probably why things moved so quickly.
For now, fans can only continue to speculate as the future of Paul Pogba continues to be a source of great discussion amongst supporters and media members.
