According to a recent report from Marca, Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane’s return to the club earlier this year led to Isco being persuaded to stay. A handful of clubs were believed to be interested in the possibility of signing him, but a potential move wasn’t as likely in the summer as it was during the January transfer window. This makes us wonder whether or not Isco was aware of the fact that Zidane would be interested in returning before he actually did, therefore allowing him to lean towards staying.
Isco is widely considered to be one of the most underrated attacking stars in European today, and as Real attempt to wrestle back control of both the Champions League and La Liga, he will hope to play an integral role once he is back to full fitness.
At the age of just 27, now is the time for him to really enter his prime and show fans what he is all about.
