“He’s here, training. He’ll train later – and tomorrow we have a match, so that’s it. He’s here with us”.
Those are the words of Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane, who has remained pretty quiet on the future of Gareth Bale. The Welshman looks set to depart the Bernabeu at some point during the next few weeks, as we get closer and closer to the start of the new campaign.
Bale is set to play some kind of role in the club’s upcoming International Champions Cup clash with local rivals Atletico Madrid, but beyond that, the expectation is that he isn’t destined to be a Real player for all too much longer.
Several teams have seemingly made it known that they’d be interested in signing Bale, with Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain being three of the primary interested clubs.
Either way, the next few weeks are going to be very interesting for him.
